One of our personal faves over here at Seed HQ, we are proud to say we will be returning to the unique cosmic weekend that is BlueDot! Located at Jodrell Bank Observatory, get ready for a weekend of great music, incredible food & drink, comedy & science talks, all under the stars!
We are on the hunt for a fantastic team of volunteers who share a passion for all of the above to help out with this most magical of weekends! Located just outside Manchester, this one’s perfect for anyone looking for a festival that is a little different!
How can you get involved? We are looking for individuals to offer between 18-24hrs of their time throughout the event. Right in the hustle & bustle, you will gain an invaluable insight into the festival industry as well as experiencing one of the most unique festivals in the UK.
When will you need to be available? The event this year runs from 23rd - 26th July but we would ask our team to be onsite from Wednesday 22nd and you would more than likely leave on Monday 27th.
Where is Bluedot?
Jodrell Bank, Cheshire
What would you be doing during the volunteer hours? We have opportunities in a few areas at this event briefly outlined below:
Accreditation: The allocation the beloved festival wristbands for excited customers.
Campsite Stewards: Assisting customers in and around the campsites.
Luminarium: Assisting customers in this unique inter-sensory structure.
Volunteers will be given the option to tell us which of the areas they are most interested in, which acts they are desperate to see and if they would like to have the same commitments as their friends - we do our best to ensure that all your requests are met.
Casual clothing, we suggest that you bring lost of dark (Black, navy) comfortable clothing that suits the weather - you will be outside and will need to be prepared!
Some food will be provided - exact details TBC but previous years individuals have got a voucher that entitles them to a generous meal from one of the fantastic vendors on site during each of their volunteering sessions, We would ALWAYS recommend bringing enough snacks & water to keep at your tent. This festival is also proudly drastic against plastic, so you will need to bring your own reusable cold and hot drinks container to avoid being charged onsite.
You will need to make your own way to this event however we do encourage car shares wherever possible and will create a group for volunteers to chat prior to the event on ROOTS
Free parking onsite, further details to be given once accepted.
This is a camping event, please make sure you have all the things you will need for the duration of your stay. We operate a leave no trace policy and encourage you to bring only what you need for the event.
There is a £100 deposit required to secure your place, this is held via pay-pal and linked to your ROOTS account, its refunded after the event
